governments will do the bare minimum to assist countries in growth unless there is something in it for them, this 'bare minimum' is measured by what the public knows and what the public expects - if you limit access to statistical data then the public will remain ignorant of what changes need to be made = thus making the government happily stuffing money in their back pockets - i wouldnt rely on the government for statstical data - they will only give what they want you to have, not what we need to have.
